25A – What’s Next?

Existing Market

Step 1: I believe that what is next for the existing market is a product that will benefit travelers in terms of comfortability in the plane for long flights. I haven’t yet figured out what the idea will be but I know that it will have to do with not only convenience but also aim for comfort. The market will be the same, middle-aged travelers and that love to travel in comfort and convenience, but also class.

Step 2: I interviewed three of my previous interviewees over zoom and decided to partake in a group call over Zoom. They mentioned that the idea I had would be hard to top but that it would be possible will the time I had before traveling was safe again. They also agreed that especially for people traveling in business class, comfort is very important due to the small seat sizes and they suggested warming pillows for necks or to sit on. I agreed with the idea because the AC on planes can be ruthless from time to time and warming devices would help with comfort a lot.

New Market

Step 1: I believe that my new market will be for kids aging from 8 to 14.

Step 2: Non-electrical scouter attached to carry-on bags are already a huge success for youngsters (my little sister owns one and is ecstatic with it) so I believe that an electrical scouter will be a success. I think that when parents are traveling with one and deem it safe, they will also receive pressure from their kids and be forced to get them one too.

Step 3: I interviewed my little sister and her friend who were both really excited with this new business idea and suggested I added very colorful colors and trademark figures on them such as Barbie.

Step 4: I think that my interviews only helped confirm my already existent beleifs that my new market would be a success. There will be some safety concerns, especially coming from parents, but I think that with the right technical experience and support, I can make my idea  huge success on the new market.
