19A – Idea Napkin No. 2

Part 1 - Elements

1)     You: My name is Dimitrios Karellos-Gleoudis, but everyone calls me Dimitri or Dimi. I am a student at the University of Florida, and I am 21 years old. I am from Greece but lived in Miami, Florida for about 5 years before getting to Gainesville. I speak 3 languages, English, Greek, and Spanish and have interned at a lot of places throughout my high school and college life. I have also traveled a lot with my family and alone. I once participated in a non-profit organization in Cuzco, Peru, teaching Peruvian kids English on a 14000-foot mountain. I consider myself to be very social and enjoy the company of people. I also think of myself as compassionate and care a lot about people. Furthermore, I can adopt to change really fast and have traits of a leader which I think are very important, especially when it comes to entrepreneurship.

2)     What: My product is a carry-on bag that has an electrical scooter attached to it. It will look like a regular carry on bag but with a long scooter pole that will be able to swing down with a click of a button and turn into a full-on electric scooter.

3)     Who: I am offering my product to people who are considered middle aged, men or women, and have a single status or a small family. My customers have a generally healthy and active lifestyle and have many interests outdoors and indoors. They love to travel or they are required to do so by their jobs and, even though they have an active lifestyle, they grow weary of the discomforts of vast airports, especially after they drains their energy with long connected flights.

4)     Why: I believe that my customers have this need and that it will be satisfied with the product I am selling them. The product will not only provide them with a lot of convenience, but it will also allow for a “look” of socioeconomic status and class and is deeply a desire of my potential customer.

5)     Competencies: I believe that my product is going to stand out due to its appeal and form. Not a lot of companies have adopted my idea, as far as I could tell by my research, only Amazon has developed a similar product, one that is not electric but manual. I also believe that the fact that my product is going to be electric is going to increase convenience, a long with appeal.

ü  Fit: I think that my five elements work very well with one another because of their interconnectedness. The need of my potential customer exists and it looks like it will be satisfied by my product’s characteristics and individual competencies.

Part 2 – Feedback

I changed my idea a few assignments ago and thus, is unable to retrieve my last idea napkin’s feedback. However, from a personal perspective, I believe that my elements fit a lot better with each other and that they work in a way that fully support my customer’s need and provide satisfaction towards it. My last idea was that of a DJ school and in my first idea napkin I mentioned what I was offering and how I was offering it, along with the rest of the elements, in terms of DJing and the knowledge that came with it. Now, I believe my idea is focused towards something that can be considered, more solidified and pragmatic.
